Tropical pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Tropical in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Tropical pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.21 per 10 ml.
How we tested tropical in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
