How we tested spiced in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.24 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How long does spiced in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On spiced the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.24 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
