Sour vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 6 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with sour in New Caledonia
The honest read on sour: 10 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.86 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour vape pen really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested sour in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.86 per 10 ml.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.86 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
