Sour RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a RDA for sour
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on sour: 14 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour RDA really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested sour in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
Is sour legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
