Sour pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Sour pen device here
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sour in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour pen device really costs in Nouméa
Sour pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where sour goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.85 per 10 ml.
