How we tested plum in a 100 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for 100 ml bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest 100 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.42 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Is plum legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
How much does a 100 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.42 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF50 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
