Plain pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Plain pod kit here
The honest read on plain: 10 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF52 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.13 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
