What the label on Pear is allowed to say
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.77 per 10 ml.
Pear in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: pear in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa

How we tested pear in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where pear goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
