Mintice pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Mintice in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Mintice pod kit here
A mintice pod kit from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.05 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run mintice the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long mintice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mintice pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on mintice: 15 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested mintice in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a mintice bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mintice in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should mintice start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
How long does mintice in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
