Coil life, liquid cost and the mint habit
Mint RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The honest read on mint: 22 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: mint in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint RDA really costs in Nouméa
Mint RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested mint in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mint bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where mint goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mint in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mint in a RDA last?
In Nouméa we measured 9 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mint the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.67 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
