Coffee starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Coffee in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
A coffee starter kit from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.96 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The honest read on coffee: 12 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee starter kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at coffee in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested coffee in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.96 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long coffee in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Why does coffee taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the coffee blend itself harsh.
Is coffee legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
What nicotine strength should coffee start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
