Choosing a refill pack for coffee
The honest read on coffee: 24 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The honest read on coffee: 24 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: coffee in Nouméa works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a coffee refill pack really costs in Nouméa
Coffee refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested coffee in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a coffee bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing coffee with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.6 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
