Citrus RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Citrus is allowed to say
A citrus RDA from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.81 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at citrus in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus RDA really costs in Nouméa
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.81 per 10 ml.
How we tested citrus in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for citrus in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
