Citrus pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The honest read on citrus: 19 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: citrus in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.96 per 10 ml.
How we tested citrus in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for citrus in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
How long does citrus in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
