Caramel mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist
Caramel in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Caramel is allowed to say
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.29 per 10 ml.
A caramel mesh tank from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.29 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: caramel in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested caramel in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF30 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.29 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
