Vanilla starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Vanilla in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
Vanilla in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Vanilla starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.5 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How long does vanilla in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.5 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
