Vanilla starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Vanilla in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
If you are looking at vanilla in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A vanilla starter kit from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.72 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Vanilla in Nouméa reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.72 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF31 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.72 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How long does vanilla in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
