Vanilla squonk mod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Vanilla in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What vanilla costs in Nouméa
Vanilla in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Vanilla in Nouméa reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla squonk mod really costs in Nouméa
We run vanilla the same way in Nouméa: same squonk mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Is vanilla legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
