Vanilla RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Vanilla in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Vanilla is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.08 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the RDA you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla RDA really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested vanilla in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does vanilla in a RDA last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.08 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF39 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
