Vanilla pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Vanilla in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pod kit from a repack
Vanilla in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.82 per 10 ml.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Nouméa
A vanilla pod kit from the starter options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.82 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.82 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Nouméa survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
