Vanilla pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Vanilla in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Vanilla pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at vanilla in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on vanilla: 8 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.53 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
