Tobacco starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Tobacco in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.99 per 10 ml.
We run tobacco the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Tobacco starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested tobacco in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.99 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
