Spiced pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Spiced in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pen device for spiced
A spiced pen device from the discounted options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.48 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run spiced the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: spiced in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced pen device really costs in Nouméa
Spiced sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested spiced in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in Nouméa survives.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
