Spiced box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Spiced in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a box mod for spiced
We run spiced the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Spiced in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: spiced in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced box mod really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested spiced in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for spiced in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.57 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should spiced start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
