Sourcherry starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Sourcherry in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Sourcherry starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.68 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry starter kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at sourcherry in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.68 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
