Sourcherry pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Sourcherry in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
A sourcherry pod kit from the discounted options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.8 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Sourcherry in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry pod kit really costs in Nouméa
We run sourcherry the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sourcherry in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.8 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
