Sour sub-ohm kit IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 8 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Sour sub-ohm kit here
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.12 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour sub-ohm kit really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same sub-ohm kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.12 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a sub-ohm kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.12 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF67 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
