Sour prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 2 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on sour: 6 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.74 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Sour in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested sour in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.74 per 10 ml.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
How long does sour in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should sour start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
