Sour mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What sour costs in Nouméa
Sour in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.7 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.7 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF51 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
