Sour cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you are looking at sour in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested sour in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.92 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.92 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF59 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
