Sour cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good cartomizer from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on sour: 12 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.24 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
