Sour 100 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a 100 ml bottle for sour
Sour in Nouméa reaches the shelf in 100 ml bottle formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.78 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour 100 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same 100 ml bottle, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where sour goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 100 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
