Salted vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
A salted vape pen from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.39 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Salted in a vape pen is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted vape pen really costs in Nouméa
We run salted the same way in Nouméa: same vape pen, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested salted in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does salted in a vape pen last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
