Salted RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good RDA from a repack
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Salted RDA reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted RDA really costs in Nouméa
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.1 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised XPF50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.1 per 10 ml.
