Salted prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Salted in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 8 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with salted in New Caledonia
Salted in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Salted in Nouméa reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where salted goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.8 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Packaging for salted in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
How long does salted in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
