Salted prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Salted in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 7 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Salted prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.97 per 10 ml.
How we tested salted in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every salted bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF53 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.97 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.97 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
