Salted box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a box mod for salted
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.12 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 10 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested salted in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where salted goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF62 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.12 per 10 ml.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
