Salted 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Salted in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Salted is allowed to say
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.94 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
Salted in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested salted in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.94 per 10 ml.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for salted in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
