Plum in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a starter kit for plum
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
A plum starter kit from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.58 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Plum starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plum in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for plum in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
