Plum RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
Plum in Nouméa reaches the shelf in RDA formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum RDA really costs in Nouméa
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plum in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
