Plum prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.3 per 10 ml.
Plum in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested plum in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.3 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
