Plum pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Plum pod kit here
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you are looking at plum in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Plum sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plum in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.67 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
