Plum box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the wholesale shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a box mod for plum
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.78 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum box mod really costs in Nouméa
Plum box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested plum in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.78 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.78 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
