Plain pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pod kit for plain
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.23 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Nouméa
We run plain the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.23 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
