Plain box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the wholesale shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
Plain box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.39 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain box mod really costs in Nouméa
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where plain goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for plain in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.39 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
