If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.21 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a 30 ml shortfill
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the 30 ml shortfill, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plain the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.21 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
How long does plain in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Nouméa we measured 2 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
