Pear RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Pear RDA here
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Pear in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: pear in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear RDA really costs in Nouméa
We run pear the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where pear goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a RDA that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
How long does pear in a RDA last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is pear legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
