Pear RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Pear RDA here
Pear in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.4 per 10 ml.
The short version: pear in Nouméa works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear RDA really costs in Nouméa
We run pear the same way in Nouméa: same RDA, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where pear goes wrong
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
