Pear pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Pear pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear pen device really costs in Nouméa
A pear pen device from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.74 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where pear goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised XPF50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.74 per 10 ml.
