Mintice starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Iqosnewcaledonia
Mintice in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Mintice is allowed to say
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.86 per 10 ml.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: mintice in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice starter kit really costs in Nouméa
Mintice in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mintice in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 22 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mintice bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long mintice in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing mintice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-style rules with a local import permit. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mintice in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.86 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
